Job Summary:

Fiesta Mart is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Truck Cook to join our team at Store 006. Under the supervision of the Restaurant Manager, this role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality food items in our mobile kitchen. The ideal candidate will be skilled in sautéing, frying, grilling, and assembling meals while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards. This fast-paced role is perfect for a culinary professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys interacting with customers. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion ingredients in advance to ensure efficient service.
• Cook menu items using various culinary techniques such as sautéing, grilling, and frying.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area in compliance with health codes and safety regulations.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency.
• Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and serving food as needed.
• Restock display cases and ingredients as required throughout the shift.
• Monitor food inventory and notify the Restaurant Manager of low-stock items.
• Support with daily and end-of-shift cleaning tasks, including sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Food Handler Card (or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year of experience in a food service or commercial kitchen environment.
• Basic understanding of cooking methods, food preparation, and portion control.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and customers.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Prior experience working in a food truck, fast food, or quick-service restaurant.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen equipment operation.

Salary:

Estimated Hourly Pay: $14 $17/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
