Grocery Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at Fiesta Mart Store 006 in Rosenberg, TX. As a Grocery Clerk, you'll play a key role in providing outstanding customer service, maintaining fully stocked shelves, and keeping our store clean and inviting. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, engaging with the public, and being part of a fast-paced retail environment that celebrates culture, community, and great food.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Maintain clean and organized aisles, shelves, and displays.
• Assist in receiving, unloading, and verifying merchandise deliveries.
• Update pricing labels, shelf tags, and promotional signage.
• Monitor stock levels and notify the manager of low inventory or ordering needs.
• Follow store safety and sanitation procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
• Support special store events and seasonal product displays.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks safely (if trained).
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Grocery Manager or Store Director.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous grocery or retail experience.
• Basic knowledge of store operations and product stocking.
• Familiarity with customer service best practices.
• Basic PC/Outlook knowledge is a plus.
• Retail Management Certificate is a bonus.
